Roland van der Werff

Managing Director

Roland van der Werff is the founder and managing director of Haystack Recruitment and has over a decade of experience in the industry.

He has a track-record of placing senior professionals throughout Europe, the Middle East and North America. The last years his focus has been exclusively on North America.

Roland started his career with reputable staffing firms in Europe. In Canada, he has managed the construction division for one the largest privately owned Canadian staffing firms for five years before starting Haystack Recruitment

As a staffing expert, Roland’s focus is on management roles with general contractors, real estate developers and engineering firms.

Tory Khalil has years of experience within the staffing industry and brings a plethora of knowledge to our team. She has worked on several local, national, multi-national and global accounts within a variety of industries. Within Haystack Recruitment she is responsible for servicing clients in construction, real estate and engineering.

Over her career, Tory has taken a great interest in learning to identify and match technical skillsets and stays up to the minute with all recruiting trends and sourcing tools. In fact, she is what we call a “sourcing ninja”!

Tory has worked both within an agency and internal environments and brings an array of local business and talent knowledge to the Western Canada Market. She is familiar with client landscapes and is able to place talent far beyond a job requisition, but rather a culture fit as well.

Tory works around the clock to ensure recruitment and talent needs are met resulting in the best fit possible for both clients and candidates alike.
