Travelling Project Manager – Canada
Ready to run large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish, with the freedom of remote management and strategic site travel? We’re looking for a driven Project Manager who thrives on accountability, delivers results under pressure, and knows how to keep complex builds on time and on budget.
This role is ideal for a high-energy leader who can manage major ground-up warehouse, distribution facility, and large commercial retail projects across Canada — primarily in Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario.
Who You Are:
- You have 10+ years in the construction industry, with at least 5 years of solid experience as a Project Manager.
- You’ve successfully managed multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- You bring proven experience in ground-up warehouse construction, distribution centres, and/or large commercial retail builds.
- You’re a self-motivated leader who delivers high productivity with minimal supervision.
- You have strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, sub-trade management, and budget control.
What You’ll Do:
- Take full ownership of project execution — from tendering through to successful completion.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, trades, and the on-site Superintendent.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget with a sharp eye on both quality and profitability.
- Coordinate all project resources and deliverables, including engineering, safety, quality control, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Site Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Coordinators.
- Review and approve subcontracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Ensure strict compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years in construction with at least 5 years in project management.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once.
- Background in warehouse, distribution, or large commercial retail construction is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform reliably under tight timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites in Canada.
What’s In It For You:
- Competitive salary+plus additional travel compensation.
- Extended health benefits and RRSP matching.
- Opportunities for continued learning and professional development.
- A collaborative, growth-oriented workplace that values integrity and long-term success.
If you’re a results-driven Project Manager who excels at remote leadership with occasional travel, and you love delivering complex construction projects with excellence — this opportunity is for you.
