About the Opportunity

Our client, a national general contractor, is seeking a Project Director to lead delivery of major civil and infrastructure work in the Vancouver area. You’ll oversee large, complex projects from early planning through completion, working with internal teams and external partners to keep delivery safe, on budget, and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across project teams, partners, and clients
  • Support project teams in driving schedules and hitting key milestones
  • Bring forward practical ideas to improve efficiency and project outcomes
  • Champion quality standards throughout delivery
  • Help with selection and coordination of trade partners
  • Oversee budgets, costs, and purchasing decisions
  • Coach and mentor project staff to support their growth
  • Keep on top of project risks and help reduce them
  • Prepare regular project updates for leadership and clients
  • Lead by example on health, safety, and environmental practices

Skills & Qualifications

  • Over 10 years in civil and infrastructure construction
  • Experience delivering full-cycle civil projects
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or a related field
  • Strong business sense with a good grasp of project management, financials, and Canadian codes
  • Proven leadership with a focus on coaching and developing others
  • Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the local market and public-sector projects is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Up to $220,000 base salary but negotiable for higher for the right person
