Senior Preconstruction Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established national general contractor, is looking for a Senior Preconstruction Leader to head up pursuit strategy and early-phase planning for complex alternative-delivery projects. You’ll lead cross-functional bid teams and help shape highly competitive proposals for major projects across Canada, working closely with senior leadership, design partners, and JV teams.

What You’ll Do

• Work with senior leadership to shape win strategies for P3, design-build, and other collaborative delivery models
• Guide multidisciplinary pursuit teams — design, proposal writing, estimating, construction input, scheduling, risk, and commercial — through the full bid cycle
• Own and track the pursuit budget, working closely with engineering and management
• Build and maintain the pursuit schedule with support from the planning team
• Lead private working sessions with the client team
• Collaborate with estimators and schedulers to confirm build costs and cash flow forecasts
• Bring operations and maintenance perspective early to support practical, cost-effective design decisions
• Help develop and review technical content, steering designs toward efficient, buildable solutions
• Coordinate partner agreements, manage RFIs, shape key win themes, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years in estimating and preconstruction
• Experience working on P3 and design-build projects
• Education in construction, architecture or engineering
• Experience mentoring junior estimating and preconstruction members

Compensation & Perks

• Up to $195,000 base salary but negotiable for higher for the right person
