Superintendent (travelling)
Are you a battle-tested construction leader who thrives on big challenges and even bigger results? We’re looking for a Travelling Superintendent to take charge of large-scale industrial and commercial projects across Canada.
This is not your average desk job. You’ll lead high-impact builds — including food processing, distribution, and warehouse facilities — on aggressive schedules, while managing complex sites ranging from 15 to 100 acres, and sometimes operating in tight urban cores.
Who You Are:
- You bring 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Superintendent on large industrial or commercial projects.
- You’ve successfully delivered food processing plants, distribution centres, or warehouses under tight timelines.
- You have experience with significant site development (15–100 acres) and know how to navigate challenging urban environments.
- Safety isn’t just a priority for you — it’s non-negotiable. You lead by example and genuinely care about the well-being of every worker on site.
- You’re an excellent communicator who stays cool under pressure, solves problems on the fly, and keeps teams motivated and aligned.
What You’ll Do:
- Take full ownership of on-site construction activities — planning, scheduling, directing, and controlling every aspect of the build.
- Enforce top-tier safety protocols and maintain a zero-incident mindset.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel like a pro.
- Run effective site meetings, resolve issues quickly, and keep open lines of communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Manage labour, materials, and equipment efficiently to hit aggressive deadlines and budget targets.
- Ensure full compliance with all building codes, regulations, and project requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction site management.
- Skilled Trade Certification is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Canada (primarily Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario).
- Ability to travel to the US is a strong asset (dual citizenship is a plus).
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
- Excellent physical condition and stamina to match the demands of the role.
What’s In It For You:
- Competitive compensation package with extended health benefits and RRSP matching.
- Opportunities for ongoing learning and career development.
- A collaborative, values-driven environment that supports long-term growth.
If you’re a high-performing Superintendent who loves variety, travel, and delivering complex projects with excellence, this role was built for you.
